Double-Bevel Knife Sharpening Classes
DOUBLE-BEVEL KNIFE SHARPENING CLASSES |
Understanding the basics of tools and technique is the key to maintaining a razor-sharp edge. In these semi-private classes (4-max), you will be learning the fundamentals of free-hand sharpening double-bevel knives on whetstones. As a bonus, you will also receive our E-Sharpening Guide, which not only summarizes the class, but also contains additional information about blade- making such as grinds, profiles, steels, and construction methods that help you understand sharpening on a deeper level. By the end of class, you will be able to apply proper sharpening techniques to your kitchen knives and develop an understanding of how accuracy and attention to minute detail makes all the difference between a passable and a hair-popping blade! For this class, you will need to bring the following: If the knives brought in are in a condition that would go beyond the scope of the class, we will provide you with a blade to work with! Participants will also receive 10% discount on the day of the class for both knife and sharpening products (one-offs and select items are excluded). All classes are held at the shop, which is located at 934 Bathurst Street (just north of Bathurst and Bloor) on alternating Thursdays (6:30pm-8:30pm) and Sundays (10am-12pm). If you have inquiries regarding a PRIVATE CLASS, a SHARPENING DEMO for your business, or any other general questions regarding the sharpening class, please feel free to give us a call at 647-722-6329. |
