This line of knives are sharpened by a talented young sharpener, Naohito Myojin, who is also responsible for producing a long time fan-favourite, 'Fujiyama' series from Konosuke company.
These stunningly finished knives are perfect for pragmatists looking for a high performing blade with a long-lasting edge with minimum rust management, thanks to the SG2 steel and excellent grinding done by Myojin (actually, who wouldn't want this?). This edge is quite thin at the edge, and it may chip if used without proper technique or care. We recommend using it slowly with gentle pressure at first, to get acquainted with the blade.
If you are looking for a stainless workhorse blade with a high level of fit and finish, this is for you.
A petty (utility) knife probably gets used most often after your all-purpose knives. It can be used to cut small fruits, vegetables, and even some smaller cuts of meats (and many many more things, like cutting through plastic wrapping from a grocery trip!)
