Double Bevel Knife Sharpening Classes
This variant is currently sold out
Understanding the basics of the tools and the technique is the key to maintaining a razor-sharp edge. In these semi-private classes (4 max), you will learn the fundamentals of double bevel knives, sharpening stones, and the technique of free-hand sharpening.
As a bonus, you will also receive our E- Sharpening Guide which not only summarizes the class, but also contains additional information about blade making such as grinds, profiles, steels, and construction methods that helps you understand sharpening on a deeper level.
At the end of this class, you will be able to use the proper sharpening techniques for your knives and understand how accuracy and attention to minute detail makes all the difference between a passable vs hair popping blade!
For this class, you will need to bring the following:
1. One kitchen knife to sharpen
2. Water for hydration
On this note, though, if the knives brought in are in a condition that would go beyond the scope of the class, we will provide you with a blade to work with!
All participants also receive 10% discount on the day of the class for both knife and sharpening products (one-offs and select items are excluded).
We are currently postponing our classes, as they are small and personable classes. New classes will be posted the beginning August 2020.
All classes are normally held at the shop located at 934 Bathurst Street (just north of Bathurst and Bloor) on Thursdays and Sundays, alternating. Thursday classes are from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, and Sunday classes run from 10am till 12pm.
If you have inquiries regarding a PRIVATE CLASS or SHARPENING DEMO for your business, as well as general questions regarding the sharpening class, please feel free to give us a call at 647-722-6329 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
